Why We Built This Site
Texas provides several forms of public access, but each custodian answers a different question. The Coke County Sheriff's Office handles its own arrest, incident, booking, and public-information records. The combined County and District Clerk keeps filed charges, docket events, judgments, and other case documents. The Texas DPS Criminal Records Service maintains the statewide Computerized Criminal History system, while TDCJ covers sentenced state prisoners and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry provides statutory registration data. We bring the verified contact details, official search routes, fees, and request steps for those offices together in one place.
What You Will Find Here
- Local record routes: how to locate and read Coke County criminal court cases
- Official check instructions: how Texas DPS name searches differ from fingerprint-based self-review, using the agency's Crime Records Service FAQs
- Custodian details: how to reach the sheriff, clerk, courts, and statewide systems that hold Coke County records
- Record-clearing context: where Texas expunction and nondisclosure proceedings begin and why eligibility depends on the case outcome
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It is not connected with Coke County, a Texas court, a police department, or any state agency. Those boundaries mean we cannot:
- Run an official background check or retrieve a person's criminal record
- Submit an expunction petition, public-information request, or other filing for a visitor
- Issue certified court documents, criminal histories, or agency reports
- Give legal advice about a charge, warrant, disposition, or clearing remedy
- Promise that an agency's fee, hours, address, or procedure has not changed
An official record must come from its custodian, such as the Coke County sheriff or clerk, Texas DPS, TDCJ, or the court that created it.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are supplied by outside providers. Each provider controls its own service, results, terms, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that helps fund this resource. We do not set the provider's charges, maintain its data, or decide which results it returns.
